AgStar Home Mortgage Services Gives $8,000 Through Facebook Contest
Mankato, Minn., (Dec. 5, 2011) - AgStar Home Mortgage Services, a division of AgStar Financial Services, ACA recently held a Facebook contest, “You Make the Difference,” and gave away a total of $8,000 to three organizations whose volunteers submitted entries online.
The contest ran from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30, 2011. There were a total of 43 entries from volunteers with non-profit organizations throughout AgStar’s 69 county service area in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Volunteers submitted either a video or essay with a photo explaining how they’ve made a difference in their local community and why they deserved to win the $5,000 grand prize. The submission with the most “likes” on Facebook won.
The organization winning the $5,000 grand prize is Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Marketing Club with 359 “likes.” The second place winner of $2,000 was Rice Lake, Wisconsin’s Youth Baseball organization with 298 “likes.” The third place winner of $1,000 was Bone Builders, a Common Good RSVP program out of Faribault, Minn. with 159 “likes.”
