AgStar Sponsors “Let’s Kick Hunger Day” at Mall of America
Day-long radiothon will raise funds to support Second Harvest Heartland
Mankato, Minn., (Jan. 28, 2014) – AgStar Financial Services is proud to sponsor the fifth annual “Let’s Kick Hunger Day” on Thursday, Jan. 30 along with WCCO Radio, Taste of the NFL, Land O’Lakes and General Mills. This day-long radiothon event at Mall of America will raise funds to support Second Harvest Heartland.
“Hunger relief in our local communities is something AgStar has a long history of being committed to,” shared AgStar’s President and CEO, Paul DeBriyn. “Just as our clients are dedicated to raising the food to supporting our growing population, AgStar is equally committed to increasing the awareness of hunger relief to engage more in the fight against it.”
Second Harvest Heartland is the upper Midwest’s largest hunger relief organization that works to collect, warehouse distribute food to those in need. Last year, this event raised $201,000 for Second Harvest Heartland. In addition to the sponsorship, AgStar is matching dollar for dollar all team member donations.
