AgStar Financial Services to Present Series of Educational Seminars for Women in February and March

MANKATO, Minn. (Feb. 3, 2010) – As part of its focus on women and their importance to family farm units, AgStar Financial Services will present a series of educational seminars titled “From the Inside Out.” The sessions, offered in February and March at locations in Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin, will explore the topic of women’s professional and physical health.

Featured speakers will be Jolene Brown – a farmer, nationally-known speaker and family business consultant – whose presentation is called Step Up! Step Out! Achieve!; and Kathy Brown, a registered nurse, who will remind women that quality of life starts with their health in a talk named Laugh, Live Well and Learn.

“With more and more women transitioning into leadership roles on the farm, it is as important as ever to support their contributions to the agricultural industry,” said Cathy Riley, Director of Marketing and Events at AgStar. “And, we know that female farmers are looking for information about how they can put their considerable strengths to work to achieve success.”

“We’re pleased to have two dynamic speakers for the seminars, which are designed not only to be educational but to be fun and practical as well. It’s also a great opportunity for women on the farm to network and enjoy each other’s company.”

The seminars, which are free for AgStar clients and their guests courtesy of a grant from the AgStar Fund for Rural America, begin each day with registration at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m. Lunch is included. Dates and locations are:
