AgStar Financial Services Mobilizing to Aid Victims of June 17 Storms
Mankato, Minn. (June 24, 2010) – AgStar Financial Services has mobilized their team and pledged funding to help provide assistance to farmers and rural residents impacted by the severe weather of June 17th. In addition to sending nearly 100 employees to help with the clean-up in the damaged areas, the AgStar Fund for Rural America, AgStar Financial Services’ corporate giving program, has pledged $25,000 to provide immediate relief to farmers affected. Plans are also in the works to create a program that will provide financial assistance to AgStar Home Mortgage clients who sustained damage to their properties.
In addition to the $25,000 pledged by AgStar’s Fund for Rural America, AgStar also donated water, gloves, hats, snacks, lunches and other supplies for volunteers and victims. AgStar encourages other organizations that do not have corporate giving programs, but would like to add to their pledge, to contact AgStar at 866-577-1831 or www.AgStar.com for information on donating.
