AgStar Selects S1 Corporation as Its New Online Banking Partner
MANKATO, Minn. (December 21, 2010) – AgStar Financial Services today announced that it has selected S1 Corporation, a leading global provider of payments and financial services software solutions, as its partner for a new online banking system.
“After an intensive selection process, it was clear S1 provided the best long-term online banking solution for AgStar and our clients,” said Paul DeBriyn, AgStar president and CEO. “This relationship will give AgStar clients an innovative and easy to use application with features designed to serve their needs.”
AgStar announced last January that it planned to implement a new online banking system. The process of selecting and implementing a new system was expected to take 18 months.
“Our decision last January was a critical step to improving our online banking services,” said DeBriyn. “The process of establishing our online banking requirements and selecting the right vendor required an extensive amount of due diligence. Now that the vendor has been selected, we’ll spend the next six to eight months preparing for launch next summer.”
For more than 20 years, S1 Corporation has been a leader in developing software products that offer flexibility and reliability. Over 3,000 organizations worldwide depend on S1 for payments, online banking, mobile banking, voice banking, branch banking and lending solutions. S1 employs more than 1,500 people in operations throughout the world.
“S1 has a long history of working with financial services organizations of all sizes, including community banks, farm credit companies, international banks and more,” said Pierre Naudé, S1 Corporation Divisional President. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to provide online banking and mobile solutions to AgStar and look forward to building a strong relationship that helps deliver the solutions and services clients need to manage their finances from anywhere at any time.”
