AgStar to Host GroundBreakers Conference Feb 6 and 7
Mankato, Minn., (Feb. 3, 2015) – AgStar Financial Services is hosting a two-day educational event for young, beginning and small farmers, offering them an opportunity to hear the latest on industry news and trends from AgStar and industry experts. AgStar is proud to hold the seventh annual conference, providing educational and networking opportunities for farmers that are just starting out or have small operations.
The conference is set to begin Friday, Feb. 6 in Bloomington, Minn. and includes a variety of sessions ranging from industry updates to national issues impacting agriculture.
Kicking off the seminar, AgStar’s President and CEO, Rod Hebrink, is slated to welcome attendees. Breakout sessions feature updates on the beef, grain, swine, dairy and ethanol industries. Danny Klinefelter from Texas A&M University is slated to present on the management characteristics of successful agriculture CEOs. In addition, the conference features a panel discussion with agriculture advocates on their efforts including remarks from Ryan Veldhuizen who was featured in the Farmland documentary film.
GroundBreakers was created to provide young, beginning and small farmers ongoing access to credit, related financial services and outreach programs. This conference is offered free of charge to AgStar clients thanks to a generous grant from the AgStar Fund for Rural America.
