2017 Women's Seminars

Are you a female farmer? Is networking with other local women in agriculture important to you? Are you interested in learning more about the business side of farming, succession planning and leadership? Our session experts, who coach farmers and business owners daily, will provide the insights you need to improve your communications and leadership skills to help you become your very best self at home and on the farm. Please join us for a great day of learning and laughing.

Join us as for our educational and motivational meeting. Hear from our keynote speakers Dave Specht author of Farm Whisperer and Holly Hoffman who will give a motivational presentation on Never Giving Up!


Registration Details:

  • There is no cost to attendRegistration is required at least one week in advance of the seminar you plan to attend.
  • Each seminar, except the Mankato location, begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and ends with closing remarks at 1:30 p.m.  Continental breakfast and lunch will be served at each seminar.  
  • Mankato location begins at 4:00 p.m. with registration and a social hour/networking event. The seminar will conclude at 8:30 pm. Dinner will be served.

Dave Specht

Dave Specht is the author of The Farm Whisperer. His work was recently featured in The New York Times, Successful Farming Magazine, Drovers Cattle Network and Family Business Magazine. Dave was recognized as one of the 100 Fresh Perspectives Honorees by Farm Credit. He was the Coordinator of Family Business Programs at The University of Nebraska. Specht has gained international attention for his creation of the GenerationalBusiness360© process and a new mobile app called Inspired Questions-For Farmers. He lives in Basin City, WA with his wife and 5 children.

Holly Hoffman

Born and raised in Eureka, South Dakota, Holly Hoffman was the last remaining member of the Espada Tribe and the last woman standing on Season 21 of CBS’ hit reality show “Survivor Nicaragua”. Through that experience, and others throughout her life, Holly was inspired to share her message of positivity, determination and confidence with business leaders, teachers, and students across the nation.
